Some things I wish I knew before starting my second and third characters on Forsaken.

Mostly it is about using collections to your advantage.

First thing you should do is get a white energy submachine gun from collections with your highest character then transfer it to your new one. There are two, one is called sorrow and has no level requirement. There is good and bad to doing this. The good is that my titan has been overpowered by having a 567 energy weapon throughout the storyline. The bad is that I'm stuck using a white smg through the storyline. I was also getting blue drops that I couldn't equip until I leveled up 5 times or so.

The real trick is that you should find one blue primary, power and set of armor that you like. Every time you hit a new level, but those until the power stops going up (each level has a cap). This is something I figured out late. It is a cheap way to make sure you are always at max power. Each blue only costs 250 glimmer and 3 weapon parts, I think. Once blues start dropping at 500 (and higher leveled than you are) go to some vendors that you have tokens for, preferably Shaxx and Zavala since you'll need those armor sets anyway. Once their engrams for turning in tokens say they will be 500+, buy a set of them. Then you can just dismantle most or all blues you get until you hit level 50.

Don't infuse anything for a while unless it is two of the same thing. Infusing a better devils into another better devils only costs glimmer. Buy at least 1 masterwork core from spider every day. You can get rid of any year 1 gun that can be reacquired from collections. Or if you really love it and haven't gotten a better year 2 version, rebuy it from colections. You can infuse that one into the old one if the old one is masterworked. Save powerful stuff until you hit level 50 and get the resulting power jump. Once you hit level 50, buy blue armor from collections again until it stops going higher. Then start getting legendary armor from vendors until it stops going higher. Switch over the guns you like to use from your main character and then do the powerful rewards stuff.
