Here is what I wrote
my passion: Focusing on the Good - Finding Silver Linings - Staying Positive
my inspiration: My mother - her code was God first, others second, self last and she lived it every day.
proudest accomplishment: becoming the daughter my mother always wanted me to be - she set the bar high, but I think I have followed in her footsteps with random acts of kindness and paying it forward. Also for 3 years I have been on a fitness lifestyle change that would make her proud. I am down almost 90 pounds, finishing my 2nd year of twice weekly pilates work outs and I feel great!
(many of the women that will be in the room knew my mom - so it will be meaningful to them - and for those who didn't know her - I'm thinking the sentiment of mother/daughter will ring true)
I'll post the photo I'm using on Facebook in a minute. After I had written this, my brother put it up on his facebook feed and tagged me with it - not knowing about the slide show and that I'd need a photo. Neither of us had ever seen it before - it was taken when I was 3 1/2 years old - and was in a collection of stuff my grandmother had that my brother just went through.
gave me the chills ... it was like mom had reached out to me from beyond!!!
