It's a theory I have. Nellie would have to be wrong, as she refers to the Red Room as the stomach of the House rather than an individual agent.
One of the things the writers did here was keep their options open throughout the series, something they used to masterful effect with the caretakers' daughter. They defy the expectation that it's the stillborn child and have it be a real person, not someone imaginary that Luke is seeing.
If the House is evil, I presume that the reckless decision for the caretakers to live there becomes a focal point of future seasons.
