Well I've had a mega dose of police procedurals lately since I've been taking care of mama post-surgery. And I have some thoughts on this genre dammit -- (edited)

I've decided police procedurals are great because these cops always have so much luxurious time to spend on their cases. They go home at night thinking of their one case and then they come back the next morning to dedicate all their time to their one case. What a wonderful world.
In reruns, Without A Trace is one of the better ones. Real dark and moody show. Although they do the "one good cop getting in over their head and will he go too far?" angle several times per episode.
Cold Case needle drops can be very pleasant.
I still love Blue Bloods. They deal with a lot of relevant stuff on this show, but nobody seems to notice because it's a CBS cop show. *shrug* Although the current season is starting really off the rails.
Oh, and NCIS LA is weird and I do not know why mom watches it. At least twice every episode someone gets hurt or they let a bad guy get away because the main characters are too busy with their bickering and banter. Kensi and Deeks are idiots.
