They've spent wisely for the most part, and they've built a team around young talent similar to the Yankees of the 90s, but they still have more money to absorb bad decisions or injuries than anyone else in the league (save the Yankees). People hate the Red Sox, they're just not going to stop hating the Yankees, too.
