I appreciate the answer, but it wasn't what I envisioned
I thought earning the right to make potato salad was like a French kitchen where you have to master a station to move on...ie. someone starts out on coleslaw, then moves on to beans, then to chicken, then to potato salad, and then to pork....
it sounds like people bring their potato salads and then get the message when their salad goes uneaten
