They have the presidency and just gained seats in the Senate.

Lose sleep? Probably not. Pay attention? Definitely.
It's a mistake to disregard what they're saying because to you it seems like it's crazy/racist/sexist/etc. Because apparently (way too) many Americans seem to agree with what they are saying. Those lines of thinking need to be changed, not ignored.
