I've read the Forbes and Eurogamer reviews. They're similar and pretty accurate.

My experience is entirely from watching my son play, but so far the criticism is accurate:

- VATS system sucks
- It's a ghost town
- No other NPCs to interact with
- Durability/damage on your weapons and armor is a soul-draining game crusher

It's fetch quests in a void.

My son reached a high level quest which requires you to launch a nuke. It seems to be the game's ultimate achievement so far. But when it came to launching the nuke, he had to enter one of three codes and apparently entered the wrong one. And he was "FUCK THAT. I'm not doing that again!"
