The funny thing is that Disney licensed the same deal with Tokyo and Paris. They recently bought back Paris because the French sucked at it.

They ask Tokyo for advice on a regular basis.

The official owner's called The Oriental Land Company. They need Disney's final approval on everything they do, but it's a formality since they're every bit as good as Imagineers at theme park operations.
