Random thought, but do the Oscars even need a host? After the monologue, they just introduce other people.

Just do a video in the beginning that splices together scenes from all the favorite films of the year in a cute way and then have announcer-voice guy say 'To intoduce the nominees for best supporting actor, here are......and.......' and you are off.
Who cares who the host is?
