Meg, Boston in June is very nice. Usually, when there is humidity it's in July/August and is nothing like the Midwest or south. Most, if not all, of

your activities will be close enough to the coast that you'll benefit from the "sea breeze". Most afternoons, around 3, the wind shifts from blowing off the land to blowing back to the land from the water. That cools things off quite a bit some days. The high temp is often before the wind shifts.

This is not to say that there can't be some days with higher humidity but in my memory of living there 30 years it is rare and feels worse than it really is if you're not used to it. When I moved here I was unhappy to find that humidity levels were higher than Boston most days in the Summer. But, as I am recently reminded, not nearly as high as in Florida or the Caribbean.
