It works really well also for "fooling" hackers because it is typically unique for the place you give your email to but if someone thinks your -- (edited)

email is [email protected], they will never be able to log on or reset your password if your email is registered as [email protected]
Makes your stolen email address a bit less portable at least to automated attacks
