Another Infinity War annoyance (spoiler)

An alien invasion happened, with Wakanda being ground zero. The only forces on Earth arrayed against this alien invasion were some Wakandan infantry and about a dozen enhanced humans. I get that maybe it takes a few hours to get the world’s super powers to deploy their militaries, but that wasn’t even in play. No one ever discussed this option.
