Without commenting much on the movie itself, those who haven't looked it up might be interested to know that there's a number of Lewis Carroll and at least one Timothy Leary reference in the project.
Bandersnatch is a word from Lewis Carroll's Jabberwocky and references a lion that resembles the monster in the movie. There's also references to going through a mirror and eating a small cake to become "small". And, of course, the rabbit. The constant smoking is likely a reference to the smoking caterpillar, Colin is the Mad Hatter, and Thakur is the Queen of Hearts (yes, there's head chopping in this one).
In regards to Leary, there's one quote that's misattributed to him, and there's also discussion of taking LSD to expand the mind.
