I think Wonder Woman got a substantial bump for being the first good female movie. It controlled a narrative

that Captain Marvel doesn't truly have. Average Joe consumer doesn't see first Marvel or first DC...they see first woman-superhero movie.
and 400mil is a massive movie. It's bigger than any debut Avengers property other than Black Panther (1st african-american superhero film)...
If you drop down to 300mil debuts, you have GotG 1 and Iron Man 1 (Spiderman debuts 1 time, not 3 times in 15 years)
