Knowing what we know about their careers...rank from best to worst, these 5 pitchers. Roger Clemens, Greg Maddux, Randy Johnson, Tom Glavine, Pedro

Martinez.

Me:

1) Johnson
2) Maddux
3) Clemens
4) Glavine
5) Pedro

I think Johnson was as dominant as any of them for longer. From like 95 - 2003, he won 5 Cy Youngs and could have won another 1 or 2.

Maddux wasn't as great as Johnson's 1999-2002 stretch, but was great for 4 years (92-95), then very very good for another 10-12 years but didn't have the highs that Johnson did.

Clemens was the best from 86-91 and then pasable the rest of his career till the roids end my consideration of him in 1997. All the stuff from then on doesn't enter my thoughts. But he was great for 5-6 years.

Glavine was very good with occassional great years for 15-17 years.

Pedro had the shortest but most brilliant peak in 99/00 but the rest of his career was weakened by his inability to stay healthy.
