yes and no. Part of it is probably because they actually get a doctorate, and yet many dont believe they have the right to use Dr/Doctor.

part of it, from what I experienced, was that they were trained/indoctrinated into believing that they should get the respect of a Doctor and therefore everything should be Dr. name here.
