The NXT UK show was great, the Nigel McGuinness documentary that aired afterward was fantastic and heartbreaking.

He always wanted to wrestle for WWE. He was about to be signed by them, but said that he'd been working through a torn bicep that had mostly recovered on its own. WWE wanted him to have it surgically repaired, but as he had no health insurance, he couldn't afford it, so despite his personal doctor telling him he was cleared to wrestle, WWE pulled the offer.
At the same time, WWE had signed Daniel Bryan as well. Bryan admitted that he wasn't 100% honest about his physical condition, which led to his issues later on in his career. He points out the irony that WWE was Nigel's goal all along and he was honest and lost it, while Bryan was perfectly happy on the indies and only went to WWE because he decided he needed to make some real money before the end of his career.
