I just looked at it as possibly not paying it because she has a job now.

If she lives with him, she gets housing if he does. I don't think the government should pay if she wants a second residence. Her paycheck goes towards that. They need to pay for security, that shouldn't be in question. She is probably covered under his health insurance, so the government pays for that as well.
