It’s essentially a hard drive made up exclusively of RAM. You know, like the RAM you put into your computer, or a thumb drive. So, yes, no moving parts. It’s insanely faster than a classic platter drive. And these days, it’s not that much more expensive than a platter drive. It’s totally worth getting an SSD over a classic drive. Frankly surprised that classic hard drives are still so prevalent.
