In response to "Ok - so my YouTube TV trial is going pretty well, but with one annoying component...want to see if anyone has any ideas..." by Uhtred, son of Uhtred

I've found that the internal apps to TVs are usually pretty poor. Using some kind of dedicated box (Roku, etc.) generally works better. I cut the

cord but I use my Tivo with an OTA antenna on my roof to get HD channels. It has apps for YouTube, Amazon, Hulu, etc. and works very nicely. Plus I can still record broadcast TV for "free"
