I can't argue on his behalf for a few reasons.

The only stats I can find are his MLB stats, and he was an old man (in baseball years) by that time. So he wasn't as dominant as the others, and he had the same issues as Pedro with complete games.

His other stats would come from a segregated league. So they are flawed.

And all I can go by are stats, since I've never seen him or Gibson pitch.
