Personally I think it'd be kind of cool to see a formation of helos coming down the street but I grew up on / around Air Force bases so I might have a non-average viewpoint.

I do remember being in awe when a C-5 flew way lower and slower than normal over my high school as part of test flight to gather acoustic data in the area. I vividly remember the shadow of the plane turning things dark and how long it seemed to take the shadow to cross the school. C-5 were common place but not like that....
