if you plan to turn from either lane you should use your signal. -- nm

basically for positive affirmation. no signal is no info. you know you're planning to turn, nobody else does. they might assume, the signal confirms.

I always wait until I’m pretty close because I don’t want it to seem like I’m trying to change lanes. -- nm

Our turn lanes all painted in solid white so you can't change lanes while in them. -- nm

yeah, every morning I get into a turning lane to get onto the highway. it stretches past a light where there's no turning allowed. I don't signal

If there is no choice about turning you don't need to. If there is a choice of going straight, even in left turn lane, use it. -- nm
