In response to "so you do not think one can be welcoming, while still disagreeing with one's lifestyle? -- nm" by groiny

This is one of the reasons why I've distanced myself from the religion I grew up with.

It was presented to me as being "oh, sure, gay people can join, as long as they don't do gay stuff". So I tapped out. Almost everything else about it appealed to me, but a religion of acceptance can't be non-accepting. It's a fallacy that belies (or perhaps reveals) the heart of its foundation.

Also I really can't stand faithy joyous people actively being faithy and joyous. Bah humbug. 😂
