I'm not sure that's accurate per the NBC News report. They said they did not find any direct evidence of collusion. There is no smoking gun.

Nobody should have expected one. They found massive amounts of contact though. Largely based on party lines defenders of Trump will say there isn't evidence of collusion and dems will say there is plenty of evidence even without direct evidence.
