It's just me, but I'm a bit pessimistic about Disney+ (granted it probably kills in the people with young kids demo), but more so for WB's and NBC's

I am thinking you are wrong. I hear Logan's (6th grade) friends say their plans for the weekend include "watch a Marvel movie". -- nm

I think people will become more ruthless about what streaming services they want to subscribe to, and I'd rather be relying on Disney's content than

I already own the DVDs or the digital codes...why would I pay monthly for the shit I can watch anytime for free?

there must be 21m households with kids playing Frozen on an endless loop, just now the 'rents have to pay for two streaming services -- nm

I'll bet you there are at least 15m US households that pay for Hulu and Netflix, and another 10m that also pay for Amazon Prime

Some data here - overall, 80% of Netflix subscribers don't subscribe to another service, and 17% also subscribe to Hulu

There's like 8 people that pay for Netflix and they just give out their password to the rest. -- nm

Apparently goal is 2M by year end. But big marketing needed: "50% of American adults "have little or no clue that Disney+" is coming...

I would contrast that with saying that 50% of people knowing about something that doesn't exist yet is big. -- nm

I legit think this won't be a problem. New live action Star Wars tv show at launch I believe. New High School Musical & other Disney shows -- nm

Late 2019 launch though, so no reason to do make a real before summer (IMO). -- nm
