There are certain religions/cultures where arranged marrages are not uncommon in today's society.

Not to say they are necessarily the norm, but they aren't unusual. Muslim countries and India jump to mind.

She's Catholic. And IIRC, she was at least half-Hispanic, though I'm now recalling a possible Asian or PI heritage on her dad's side?
