most folks don't realize how some crimes get looked at, sure when your car or apartment is broken into, even if you get mugged on the street, the detectives ask a few questions, write a few reports, file it and forget it unless they catch the guy standing around.

Homicide LOTS got into that, at least the book did. "I'm gonna talk to you, and you ain't never talked to like I'm gonna talk to you"
