unless you're going into STEM or finance. But it's the same question you could ask about chemistry - who's going to know how to calculate thermodynamics problems except chemists and physicists? When I look at a chemistry class of 30, 15 go on to take the next level, 5 the level after that and maybe 1 has a career where that chemistry knowledge is relevant. We're not teaching it solely for the sake of knowing it, it's because you're learning skills about how to solve problems, and these are very relevant ways to do this. Also, at the high school level, you have no bloody idea what you're actually going to be doing 20 years later.
