There is so much out there that is bad that this bribery thing just seems like small potatoes (oh noes rich people did things to help their rich kids! news at 11) and the media will cover this for weeks due to the famous people involved meanwhile another mass shooting will get blown over in the 24 hour news cycle.

It's just hard for me to get psyched to lose my shit over something so inconsequential when more heinous things are happening (the NZ killings was just an example; insert any rape/murder/child molestation story in it's place).
