Those programmer+coding "schools" are only 6-9 months and cost what an out-of-state student would pay for a single year. -- (edited)

I can see 6% making that choice or other vocational schools--good pay, w/job placement, right away.
Forget racking up crippling debt for 4 years at a full-time college.
