And speaking of the Dossier, I'm amazed at the extent to which it's still discussed (even by mainstream media) as some variation on "discredited".

While not every allegation has been proven correct, several of them have and I'm not sure any have been disproven (some are just unconfirmed). There may have been a few where the person he claimed had the meeting was not exactly the right person, but the meeting occurred. It's been corroborated way more than anything else.
