I've followed this story through a podcast about the guy on death row and I hope they overturn.

Fascinating podcast and I'm pretty sure he's actually innocent.
They had an episode today that talked about the case being before the court and had a former Kennedy clerk on to discuss things. He leaned towards them overturning for a couple of reasons but one that stood out is that they don't usually take these cases and likely did because they have an issue with racist jury selection or a similar thing. He didn't think they'd take the case just to say that the lower court ruling should stand. Especially since it condemned him to death.
