google your apartment management and see if there are a lot of complaints about deposits and cleaning complaints/fees

my SO found out that her complex were total aholes and there were dozens of complaints about bizarre charges for 'dust on the toilet roll holder, $50' and folks ending up owing more money and not getting any deposit back. So she took a couple extra days to clean and had her lawyer meet with their 'inspectors' for the walk through.
