Albies is much less of a sure thing.

Having said that, the two situations are similar in that we signed these players for a pittance of $100k and $350k. That money had to last them the 3-5 years it took to reach the majors. Now, they're taking less to get the money they need to help their families. These situations exemplify how shady MLB is with Latin American ballplayers.

Between the two, I think Acuna made the worse decision. Albies could very well wash out since he's so much of a free swinger. Acuna looks like a 50+ WAR player.
