in the last film, they make a point to say that her parents aren't significant. They show the little kids.
I suppose it's saying that she is the "Luke Skywalker' of the new generation not an actual Skywalker.
But then that seems weird because you are basically saying the title is really 'Rise of a Luke Skywalker-type heroine'
