Things I loved about Endgame (spoils, obvs)

Thor as The Dude is still cracking me up. It played as funny, but also worked so well at showing how his failure with Thanos broke him.

Cap. Dropping profanity, mocking his past self. It added a layer of cynicism to the character that felt very real. I love that he got his time with Peggy and that he's passed the shield on to Sam and not Bucky.

Professor Hulk! I don't know if Endgame is the last time we see Banner/Hulk, but what a great resolution to Banner's story.

Tony. This time his motivation was more honest and less egotistical. He *knew* he might die and miss growing old with the family he loved, but to not try would deny so many others the opportunity to be with their lost families. This wasn't a sacrifice to build his ego, it was a sacrifice to help others.

This movie resolved so much. It really is an endgame/end of story for so many characters.

We can still have Asgard stories with Valkyrie. Iron Man stories with Harley (the kid from IM 3), Pepper and Morgan. And probably with Rhodes. More Cap stories with Sam and Bucky.

Everyone that was lost or is essentially wrapped up in Endgame received the focus in this movie.

There was almost no Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Fury because those characters aren't done. Ant-Man was featured, but his support cast wasn't. Quill and the Guardians got very little focus, but movies with them and Thor could be a blast! Hulk is maybe not done, but got a good resolution if he is.

The ones that are done? They got a beginning, a middle, and an end and I'm happy with that.

And dead meant dead in the MCU. Quicksilver wasn't resurrected. Vision is still dead. All the Asgardians who died are still dead.

Two exceptions: Past Loki is out there somewhere. So is Past Gamora.

This was a very satisfying wrap up to an ambitious 10 year project. It isn't an end to the MCU, but it nicely moves the focus to the next 10 years and new characters with new stories.
