Endgame didn't feel like it had enough plot to warrant that time.
The whole movie was them going to the planet to kill Thanos, coming up with a plan to time travel, time traveling to get the stones, then Thanos having an ending battle with the Avengers.
It was literally a director's final cut. Sometimes that's necessary. Sometimes it's Thor becoming a drunken, lazy video game player for 15 minutes.
