I think it's one of the best dramas of all time. I've watched it through multiple times, like once a year I watch it over.
I won't spoil anything but season 2 is not all that similar to season 1 and each proceeding season is different than the last as the focus is on something different. They still follow the dealers and the cops but they introduce new people/groups and angles.
Bubbles is a character that was so well acted and used throughout the show. I love how well they wrote for him where in most shows he'd just be used once or twice for an arc and then forgotten.
The writing is top notch and the actors do such a great job. Though, Dominic West, Det. McNulty, loses his American accent and doesn't sound like he's from Baltimore but it's easily forgiven as he does a rather good job otherwise.
