WTF was with Jon just sitting there watching them struggle to light the trench? Then just sitting there as the dead start to cross it? Then just sitting there as they start scaling the walls?

Also, hello, you're fighting a foe who can raise the dead. That means every person your side loses becomes a new enemy. And you didn't prepare for that?

One dragon should have been used to clear the field of battle of ALL corpses, not hang out on the wall watching things go to shit.

The books better not be this fucking stupid.
