Jaime can’t kill the Night King *and* Cersei.
Also, several people had a path to killing the Night King - like Jon and Dany in the episode, but their efforts involving direct force proved to be futile. Jaime would not have succeeded where they failed, while Arya’s approach was different involving stealth and misdirection.
