So is using inflammatory terms like "socialism" as an intent to rile people up.

Especially when you intentionally turn a blind eye to other forms of "socialism" as you call it.
By your definition, Gov. Palin has demonstrated much deeper and wider socialist tendencies than Sen. Obama. Sen. Obama used an unfortunate turn of phrase. Gov. Palin was chief executive of a state where every resident gets a couple thousand dollars a year for no other reason than being a resident of the state. That is the very definition of the word "socialism" in the true tradition of Marx and Engels: the state paying its citizens for nothing. Not work or labor, not for contributing to society, but simply for having the good fortune to be living in a simple geographical location.
And, if we use your definition, then both Sens. McCain and Obama are fascists because they have demonstrably supported efforts to take money from the people (in the form of taxes) and give it to large corporations (in the form of subsidies) time and time again.
You weren't called a fuckhead for using the term socialism. You were called a fuckhead for trying to rile people up and attempting to club people over the head with your ill-formed, ill-spoken opinions.
