life" because they identify as conservatives, but aren't really that invested in the issue. There are clearly conservatives for whom abortion is a core issue, but I really suspect many aren't that invested in it. For example, my in-laws who are staunch fiscal conservatives, but really not socially conservative spend a lot of time in the Fox bubble. They support the concept of a conservative court and conservative justices, but I don't think they appreciate that it mostly cuts against their separately held beliefs.
