I think this is ecobee catching up to the Nest.

my ecobee we just bought last month isn't "learnable." It's nice, especially the other room monitors, but otherwise it's just a lazy thermostat that I can change on my phone and has a cool interface.
(I think what I use both Nest and Ecobee for most are the High/Low settings - don't let it get above 76° or below 65° and if so, kick on the air/heat.)
