I have a propane fireplace in the living room that heats that quite competently but like you, bedrooms are always chilly.I *hate* my heat. -- nm

I get the why of it, but still sounds like a nightmare. If I am cold, I want to switch the thermostat to "Heat" and be done with it.

in theory I have central heat. in practice it's forced hot air and I like my skin *and* my upstairs is converted loft space (so electric heat)
