Yeah, but my house was built in 1905, and it almost never drops below about 10C outside.

Almost nobody in Perth has central heat. Even winter days are usually ~70 weird degrees.
Responses:
I get the why of it, but still sounds like a nightmare. If I am cold, I want to switch the thermostat to "Heat" and be done with it.
