It's not expendable, so it's not really for the pro market

I would be a good candidate for a mid-tier expendable mac. I work in video so I need a fair amount of power and lots of expendability (I/O cards, etc), but it's only used for work I do from home (which is about 25-40%), so I can't justify paying 6K USD for a computer.
There a lot of business I work at that are still running old jacked up Mac Pro from 2010 that will probably not bat an eye at buying a very expensive machine for their most demanding task. It would be nice if they also had computers that could run at lower speed for things like Offline editing and still use the same expansion cards as the more expensive versions.
