I don’t see it happening anytime soon honestly. Having trouble seeing a path to 270 without the Dems making serious inroads in certain state legislatures -- nm*

Since it's the law in several states now, that's unlikely.

It's not the same as a constitutional amendment though because changing tides in states can change the laws. It's a clever but very imperfect
