Or even not democrat (since the reality is it's a binary choice). Hell, I can't stand Ted Cruz, but if he managed to win the democratic nomination I'd vote for him.

I'd argue it's not a binary choice. I feel no compulsion to vote for someone I fundamentally disagree with just to defeat someone else I fundamentally disagree with. -- nm
